Welcome! I'm Chen Liao, a Seattle-based Engineering Program Manager with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Throughout my 10+ year career at Microsoft and Apple, I've successfully led AI/ML projects from concept to successful deployment. My experience encompasses both customer-facing features and impactful business solutions.

• At Microsoft, I contributed to news recommendations in Bing and privacy-preserving AI within Microsoft Office.
• At Apple, I spearheaded projects involving ML-based cosmetic inspection, large-scale data analysis in the supply chain, and innovative user experiences for future products.

I'm a hands-on learner with a passion for building. My diverse background includes experience in developing mobile apps, websites, email services, robotics, and automation systems. This has provided me with a strong foundation in software, hardware, and service operations, complementing my academic background in Industrial Engineering, Production Systems Engineering, and Computer Science.

I'm a global citizen with a rich cultural background. Raised in China, I pursued my double Master's degrees in Germany and recently relocated to the United States in 2024.

I'm a devoted family man, blessed with a loving wife, a beautiful daughter, and a wonderful son.
